Step 1: Log in on your Rig (Management Session)
First, you need to sign into Steam on your cloud gaming machine.
In the AppOnFly - Gaming setup window, click the "Open Management Session" button.
In the window that opens, log in to your Steam account.
Warning: Do not click "Play" on any game inside this window! This session is for management only and has no GPU acceleration—games will not run properly here.
Return to the guide window and click "Next".
Step 2: Log in on your Local Computer
Steam needs to see your account active on both your Rig and your actual home computer.
Open the Steam application on your physical PC or laptop.
Log in using the exact same Steam account you used in Step 1.
Click "Next" in the AppOnFly guide.
Step 3: Select the Streaming Option
Now you must tell Steam to use the cloud Rig's power instead of your local hardware.
Navigate to Steam > Settings. Scroll down and select Remote Play tab. In the COMPUTERS & DEVICES click Connect.
Step 4: Authorize the Device
For security, Steam will ask you to pair the two machines using a PIN.
A 4-digit authorization code will appear on your local Steam window.
Go back to the AppOnFly guide and click "Open Management Session" again to access the Rig's desktop.
Enter the 4-digit code into the authorization window on the Rig and click "Confirm".
Click "Next" in the guide.
Step 5: Start Gaming
Once authorized, the stream will begin automatically on your local monitor.
Important Note:
- If the stream has not started, click Connect in the Steam > Settings > Remote Play tab again.
- To stop streaming hold Escape Key within the session.
- To to switch between your game and other windows use Alt+Tab
Step 6: Close Management Session
You can now click "Close Management Session" in the AppOnFly guide to save resources.
To end your session: Hold the Escape key in your local Steam to stop streaming.
